Christianity is, for the first time in American history, not being actively acknowledged by a majority of Americans. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing when we consider the lukewarm nature of churches in America in recent decades. It’s better to have fewer who are more dedicated to the faith than a bunch of people who claim it for social reason.
Then, there’s the filibusters. Between the SAVE America Act being left hanging and the shutdown of DHS that continues unabated, it’s time for Senate Majority Leader John Thune to rally his caucus behind ending the filibuster altogether. A “talking filibuster” simply won’t work and could actually do damage before the midterms.
